Whether driving for employment or personal errands, the highway can be a dangerous place. Traveling eastbound through a busy intersection, a small car struck another vehicle that was traveling southbound through the same intersection. The driver of the vehicle that was struck, an adult female, was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The accident, which occurred around 5:30 p.m., is believed to be the fault of the driver of the small car. Authorities say he failed to stop for a red signal, but charges have not been filed yet. Police are continuing to investigate.
