The 10-year-old sister is currently in stable condition but suffered forearm injuries, according to a local Tennessee medical center. The other girl, a 16-year-old, was originally listed in critical condition; however, her status was recently reported as stable. According to the officials’ preliminary report, mechanical failure was the cause of the accident, though a full report has yet to be completed. According to officials at the fairground, it was unknown when the last inspection of the ride occurred.
The parents of the girl who suffered the traumatic brain injury may choose to pursue premises liability claims against the owner of property where the accident occurred.
