- Heavy rain and strong winds. If the rain begins to fall and the winds pick up, don’t hesitate to pull your car to the side of the road. It can be a challenge to drive in inclement weather.
- Wet leaves. This doesn’t sound like a big deal, but wet leaves on the road can cause your vehicle to lose traction, thus increasing the likelihood of a crash.
- Back to school traffic. With school back in session, there will be more vehicles on the road during the morning and afternoon hours. This includes parents driving their children to and from school, as well as school buses.
- Fog. As the weather chills, fog is extremely common during the morning hours. This can limit visibility on the road, making it hard for you to see the road ahead (and for others to see you).
- Sun glare. The weather may cool a bit, but that doesn’t mean there will be no sun glare.
These are just a few of the top dangers of fall driving. By keeping these in mind, you’ll find it much easier to avoid trouble on the road.
