Motorcyclist dies in car accident

A man died recently when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident with a car. The accident occurred in Montgomery County on a recent Sunday afternoon in January, police say. When Maryland residents involved in a car accident are killed due to the negligence of another party or parties, their loved ones are typically entitled to file a wrongful death suit against the responsible parties.

According to the Montgomery County Fire Department, both a car and the man’s motorcycle were traveling east on a local road in Spencerville. Then, for reasons currently unclear, both vehicles collided. The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old Silver Spring man, was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.

This accident remains under investigation. Portions of Spencerville Road — the road on which the accident took place — were closed while police conducted their preliminary investigation. There is currently no word on the state of the driver of the car. If it is found that the driver of the car was at fault, a wrongful death claim may be possible.

A successfully presented wrongful death claim will never erase a family’s grief of losing a loved one, However, a successfully presented claim could still help to provide some welcomed relief from the financial burdens that are typically incurred by a decedent’s loved ones after a car accident like this one. Compensation derived from a claim that is properly litigated may be used to cover end-of-life expenses as well as other documented and related financial losses. A Maryland family who is grieving the loss of a loved one typically consults with an experienced personal injury attorney, who can not only advocate for their needs in this difficult time but can also assist them with the process of submitting a claim.
