Maryland 3–car accident results in injuries

Car accidents can happen in the blink of an eye. One moment, a Maryland resident is driving down the road without a care in the world. The next moment, that person’s life might be irrevocably changed due to a car accident.

A recent car accident that occurred in Prince Frederick resulted in several people being injured, one of them seriously. According to Maryland State Police, a woman’s Jeep SUV crossed the road’s center line, collided head-on with another SUV and then collided with a small passenger car that was following behind it. The initial head-on collision resulted in the second SUV going off the road, where it then collided with a wooden fence before coming to a stop in a wooded area.

After the second collision, the Jeep SUV rolled over and its driver was ejected. The driver was transported to a local medical center via helicopter. The occupants of the other SUV were rushed to another local medical center. The condition of the driver in the small passenger car was not known.

The investigation is still ongoing, but if the authorities deem that the negligence of the driver of the Jeep SUV was a contributing factor to causing this car accident, the injured victims might seek to file personal injury claims against her. A successfully filed personal injury claim allows an injured party to recoup some of the financial losses often incurred in a car accident, such as hospital bills and property damage. By consulting with a personal injury attorney who is experienced with handling car accidents, a victim can learn whether or not he or she has a viable case.
