Young newlyweds killed in Maryland car accident

A fatal car crash occurred recently that took the life of two individuals. The accident occurred on Valentine's Day in Ann Arundel County, police say. When a Maryland individual is killed in a car accident due to the proven negligence of another driver, his or her loved ones are typically entitled to file a wrongful death claim against the party or parties believed to be responsible.

The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Witnesses said that a sedan was traveling northbound when it crossed the center line, striking a second sedan that was traveling southbound. A third sedan, traveling behind the second, slammed into the second vehicle, causing it to overturn.

The driver of the first vehicle was airlifted to a shock trauma center with serious injuries. The second vehicle contained a young newlywed couple. The husband was killed on impact, while the wife died from injuries the following day. The driver of the third vehicle suffered minor injuries, but he refused treatment.

Although a wrongful death claim can do little to erase a family's grief, a successfully presented claim could provide some relief from the financial burdens that are typically associated with tragic deaths such as these. Any compensation derived from a properly litigated claim may be used to cover end-of-life expenses and related financial losses due to a car accident. A Maryland family who is grieving the loss of a loved one typically consults with an experienced personal injury attorney, who can advocate for their needs as well as assist them with the process of submitting a claim.
