Recent Maryland car accident: 2 killed in 2-car crash

When a Maryland driver is the victim of a serious vehicular accident, the effects are often life altering. Whether the injuries suffered were temporary or permanent, they may result in the individual not being able to work in the short term or, quite possibly, ever again. The medical bills following a serious car accident may quickly become insurmountable, especially when the victim’s health care coverage doesn’t cover all the costs.

A car crash recently occurred in Prince George’s County. The collision occurred early on a Sunday morning around 1:15 a.m. in September. When officers arrived at the crash scene in Forestville, they discovered a 27-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman had suffered critical injuries in the collision.

Police say the car in which the victims were riding was turning onto another street when another car plowed into them. Police believe that the second vehicle had failed to stop at the intersection’s red light. Both passengers of the first car were later pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the second vehicle was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

Under the facts reported regarding this fatal car accident, a wrongful death suit appears to be an appropriate option for the deceased victims’  loved ones. The claims could be filed in a Maryland civil court against the driver believed to have been a fault. Attorneys experienced in personal injury lawsuits are often consulted to help with the process of evaluating, preparing and litigating wrongful death claims regarding fatal motor vehicle accidents.
